Reduction of Ultimate Limitation Period a Significant Step for APEGBC Professionals
Bill 34, the proposed new Limitation Act passed its third reading in the Legislature on April 26. By far, the most notable feature of Bill 34 is the reduction of the ultimate limitation period for civil actions from 30 years to 15 years.

New Guidelines for Quality Management Requirements
To improve the quality management related guidance it provides to its professionals, and to support member practice, APEGBC is introducing six quality management guidelines. These guidelines will apply to all members and licensees providing engineering or geoscience products or services in BC in any sector.

Reminder - Member Petition Ballot Closes at Noon, May 17
Members who have not yet cast their vote in the Member Petition Ballot are encouraged to do so before noon on May 17. Specifically the petition refers to the request for APEGBC Council to be given the ability to make bylaws in the public interest without the requirement for member ratification.
