Details:

The implementation and administration of asset management practices at Fortis BC has been one of continuous evolution.  In his presentation, Dana will provide a brief overview of what Asset Management is, the changes that the company has undergone, challenges encountered, lessons learned and a projection of targets for the future.

Ample time will be provided for questions on the speaker’s topic.

Speaker:

Dana Johnston AScT is the Project Director – Infrastructure Program Development for Fortis BC, the gas utility that supplies natural gas and propane to nearly one million customers throughout the province.  In his 30 years with the company he has held a number of positions both in the field and in the office, most recently the Director, Asset Management.  He has been instrumental in implementing and evolving centralized asset management practices that have made the utility one of the leaders in the Canadian gas industry.
